Milestone Projects ---------------------- Objectified Response For this project, after watching the documentary, I found myself most interested and inspired by the old flip phones seen in the early 2000s. Since Motorola's and Blackberries were things I grew up around. Specifically I really liked Naoto Fukasawa's design, and how it was super cubic and rounded off. With this project, I quickly found that making a model as smooth and well put together as Naoto's would not be possible within the time allotted. So instead I modelled it off of a Motorola Razor. I'd say the most challenging part of this would have been getting the curved aspects of the model, that occurred on the inside and the top of the phone. The bottom part of the phone, where the vents are, also proved tricky and I went through a lot of prototypes before finally coming to something that at least resembled the original phone.
